What a difference five years makes. Five years ago today, I graduated from Mount Holyoke College. It was one of the proudest days of my life. This weekend I am missing my 5-year reunion because I am instead here in Texas, on call for births. Today, I had the privilege and honor to watch a brand new baby make her way into this world. It was a very sweet birth. It continues to amaze me that five years after graduating from college, I am well on my way to becoming a midwife. Little did I know that this would be the path that I would be called to walk. For that truth and for today, I am deeply honored and humbled.
